IT Hit WebDAV Server Engine .Net 1.0.3.0
|

The library provides a high-level .Net Framework API for WebDAV-enabling your application. With IT Hit WebDAV library you can manage files stored in a database, file system or any other storage over HTTP according to open standards. The engine supports all RFC 2518 complaint WebDAV clients (like MS Web Folders, MS Office, MAC OS X, Konqueror, Gnome Nautilus etc), security authentication protocols and SSL encryption.
Features:
- No WebDAV and XML experience required to create your WebDAV server
- Microsoft Web Folders support
- Microsoft Office XP/2003/2007 support
- Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 and Microsoft Access samples
- Range / Content-Range header support
- Create RFC 2518 Class 1 or Class 2 compliant WebDAV Server
- Runs on .Net Framework 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0
- C# source codes
Several WebDAV server C# samples shipped with SDK demonstrate storing files in file system, Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 database and Microsoft Access database. Being independent of the hosting environment the WebDAV engine can run both in IIS as part of your ASP.NET web application and as HttpListener-based service.
-- FTP vs WebDAV --
Unlike FTP WebDAV does not require opening port 21 and runs entirely over HTTP via firewalls without any additional configuration. Most modern OS, including Microsoft Windows Vista and XP, are shipped with WebDAV client applications eliminating the need for client applications distribution and support.
-- LICENSING --
Different types of WebDAV Server Engine licenses allow single server installation, royalty free redistribution as part of your application or source codes license:
